15th Annual Stansbury Days Kids Triathlon
Come celebrate Stansbury Days with us at one of our favorite community traditionsthe Annual Stansbury Days Kids Triathlon!
For children ages 512
Friday, August 14
Race begins at 6:30 PM
Young athletes will start at the Stansbury Park Pool, where theyll swim one lap, then transition to a 3.2-mile bike ride, and finish with a 1-mile run. The race concludes at the finish line across the bridge near the skate park!
Registration
$13 per participant
Registration includes:

* Post-race refreshments and snacks
* An unforgettable race experience
Trophies will be awarded to the top three boys and top three girls in each age division.
Space is limited, so register early! IT WILL FILL UP!
Volunteers Needed!
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers ages 1499 to help make this event a success.
Scout groups, youth groups, sports teams, siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and community members are all welcome!

Race Day Information
Important: Parents May Not Run or Ride With Participants
To keep the event safe and enjoyable for everyone, parents may not accompany children on the course.
*Exception: Parents may assist 5-year-olds on the bike portion only.
This is a kids race, designed to help children build confidence, independence, and have fun at their own pace. We have volunteers stationed throughout the course, and participants can ask any volunteer wearing a bright yellow vest for assistance.
If youre unfamiliar with the route, please review the course map available through registration and consider practicing it with your child beforehand.
Things to Tell Your Racer
Please review these reminders with your child before race day:
Ask anyone in a bright yellow vest for help.
Ride on the side of the road, not in the middle. Vehicles may need to pass.
After finishing the bike portion, return your bike to the exact spot where it started. This is part of the transition area.
Wear your race bib on the FRONT of your shirt.
Parent Information
Check-In
1. Check-in is open from 5:15 PM6:15 PM.
2. The race begins promptly at 6:30 PM.
3. During check-in, participants will receive their race bib and rack their bikes. Look for us outside the pool.
Bike Rack & Transition Area
4. If your childs bike is too small to hang on the rack, place it directly underneath the rack.
5. Bikes must be returned to the same location after the bike portion is completed.
6. Keep shoes and helmets with the bike.
Assistance During the Race
7. If a younger child needs help tying shoes or fastening a helmet, please assist them outside the bike rack area on the grass.
8. Older participants should independently manage their shoes and helmets within the transition area.
9. Transitions are part of the race and are intended to be completed by the participants themselves.
10. No parents will be allowed in the bike transition area once the race begins.
Swim Information
11. Participants will start in the pool at 10-second intervals.
12. Racers will swim one length, duck under the lane line, and swim back.
13. Life jackets are permitted; swim fins are not.
Safety
14. No participant may leave the bike area without a properly fitted and buckled helmet.
Race Bibs
15. Race bibs must be worn on the front of the shirt.
16. Please pin only the top of the bib so volunteers can remove the timing tab at the finish line.
Awards & Refreshments
17. After the race, participants and families are invited to enjoy refreshments while results are finalized and awards are presented.

Course Maps
Details
The swim is in the Stansbury Park pool. Racers will exit the pool and go to the bike rack on the hillside east of the pool.
The bike goes down Lakeview, which turns into Lakeside, left on Bleeker, right on Christopher, left on Regatta, left on Parkview and right back onto Christopher, continue the way you came, returning to the clubhouse. The run starts from the bike racks by the pool, turns left before the bridge, and goes down Delgada for .5 mile, loops back and ends across the bridge at the skate park. |
